The Data and Analytics team is responsible for the total lifecycle management of data driven solutions. These include services for data warehouse and business reporting, advanced analytics, robotics process automation and global master data.
We are looking for a Solution Expert Trainee to join our team. If you have a solid foundation in software development and attitude to continuously learn the latest technologies, this position is for you. The Solution Expert Trainee is responsible for the development and support of data and analytics solutions. The keys for success is to become an expert in Wärtsilä data platforms, and the close co-operation with developers, data scientists and business stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled. Together with the team, to foresee and plan the roadmap and actively take part in developing the data platforms.
The position is temporary trainee position for 6 months. Trainee period starts during March-April, according to the trainee’s availability.
The location for this position is Helsinki or Vaasa, Finland.

Requirements
– Studies in M.Sc. / B.Sc. in relevant area
– Knowledge of data modelling and database technologies
– Knowledge in software engineering methodologies and good coding skills
– Familiarity with modern data platforms and technologies
– Understanding of applied analytics and machine learning methods
– Familiarity with cloud computing services, such as AWS and Azure
– Experience in full stack development is a plus
– Customer focused mindset
– Good documentation and presentation skills
– Good collaboration and change management skills
– Proactive, development-minded, independent and goal-focused attitude to work
– Fluent written and spoken English
