The Ecosystem Innovation Team is responsible for running the innovation process (by selecting best ideas for concept development, further enhancing ideas with sprints and piloting them with customers), external market shaping activities, following trends, creating scenarios and new idea concepts for the future of shipping, and internal culture change program. This traineeship position offers an excellent insight into the corporate innovation of a global industrial company.
We are looking for a recently graduated Masters student within industrial management, corporate venturing, digital or marine technology background.
This trainee position is focused on smart technologies and concept development for future shipping. The key tasks for the trainee are to handle idea management and to support in idea concept screening and concept development. The selected person will also be actively involved in inspecting disruptive trends studying the markets and customers. The location for this position is Helsinki.
Responsibilities
– Handle idea management and pre-screening of ideas for further development
– Assist in developing new business concepts by doing background studies
– Build Power BI visualization of the idea pipeline
– Running Spark idea campaigns
– Follow market trends that could disrupt the maritime industry
– Perform market and customer research
– Support organization, and facilitate internal development sprints for idea concepts
Requirements
– M.Sc. studies in Industrial Engineering, Digital technologies, Naval Engineering, Management, or equivalent
– Excellent analytical skills and mind-set
– Excellent communications skills
– Ownership and responsibility for driving own work
– Team player with good interpersonal skills
– Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
