The Ecosystem Innovation Team is responsible for running the innovation process (by selecting best ideas for concept development, further enhancing ideas with sprints and piloting them with customers), external market shaping activities, following trends, creating scenarios and new idea concepts for the future of shipping, and internal culture change program. This traineeship position offers an excellent insight into the corporate innovation of a global industrial company.
We are looking for a recently graduated Masters student within communications, marketing or related background.
This Innovation Trainee position is focused on building innovation ecosystem with external customers and key stakeholders, as well as building an internal Wärtsilä innovation culture. The key tasks for the trainee are to encourage people to ideate and communicate by constructing inspirational stories, and coordinate marketing activities related to innovation and market shaping with the marketing team. This position is one that is active in supporting the organization of external events for our customers and stakeholders and linking the outcomes of these workshops to the Winnobooster innovation pipeline.
The position is temporary trainee position for 6 months. Trainee period starts during March-April, according to the trainee’s availability.
Responsibilities
– Moderating Future Innovation Day stakeholder community
– Scenario work communications
– Support with external and internal innovation workshops, communications around them to various stakeholders
– Internal communications
– Assist in building a positive innovation culture
– External and internal communication pipeline
– Ensure the timing and resources for external stories
• Write inspirational stories to internal channels
• Prepare Mindtickle training modules
• Keep Ecosystem Innovation related Wartsila.com internet pages and Compass intranet pages up to date
• Maximise the use of different channels
Requirements
– Studies of Marketing, Communications, Management, or equivalent
– Excellent analytical skills and mind-set
– Excellent communications skills
– Ownership and responsibility for driving own work
– Team player with good interpersonal skills
– Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
