Wärtsilä Marine Solutions is looking for a Trainee to join their NPI (New Product Introduction) Specialists team. Team is working at Delivery Centre Vaasa (DCV) in NPI & Smart Manufacturing unit and is responsible securing manufacturability and manufacturing processes for Wärtsilä products. Work includes strong co-operation with different stakeholders, like product design, purchasing and quality. We offer you a possibility to work with a team of manufacturing experts from different areas, interesting tasks and possibility to participate in production development, but also developing yourself.
The position is temporary trainee position for 6 months. Trainee period starts during March-April, according to the trainee’s availability. Position will be located in Vaasa, Finland.
Responsibilities
– Support our machining experts in daily work
– Planning manufacturing methods for component production together with our experts
– Participate in product development projects and supplier development
– Perform problem solving when needed
– Creating design improvement and development ideas to product design
Requirements
– Experience in manufacturing technologies, especially machining
– Experience in machining workshop is seen as a benefit
– Know-how in different component production technologies
– Systematic and organized way of working and problem solving skills
– IT-skills such as MS Office are expected, SAP skills as benefit. Also CAD/CAM experience is appreciated.
– Good communication and team working skills
– Language skills: English, Finnish, other languages are seen as an advantage.
