The Wärtsilä Marine Solutions, Market Innovation team is looking for an Innovation Trainee.
The Market Innovation Team is responsible for following trends, creating new idea concepts for the future of shipping, running the innovation process, external market shaping activities and supporting the internal culture change program. This position offers excellent insight into the corporate innovation of a global industrial company.
We are looking for a student within industrial management, corporate venturing, marine technology or a similar area, who is about to graduate, or has just graduated. This position is located in Helsinki, Finland.
Responsibilities:
– Support the team with rolling out a company wide idea management tool (see https://www.hypeinnovation.com)
– Assist in improving the innovation process
– Assist in building up and following the innovation KPI’s
– Assist in internal innovation communications
– Perform competitor screening
– Participate and provide support for the team as necessary
Requirements:
– Advanced studies leading to M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Naval Engineering, Management, or equivalent
– Excellent analytical skills and mind-set
– Excellent communications skills
– Ownership and responsibility for driving own work
– Team player with good interpersonal skills
– Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
